About Commercial Plumbing Inspector (P2) 

As a Commercial Plumbing Inspector (P2) you will be responsible to verify the design, installation and inspections for all commercially installed plumbing systems complete with their fixtures, equipment, appurtenances, and appliances. Also, as a Commercial Plumbing Inspector shall also be responsible to verify the installation, design, and inspections for all stormwater systems, special waste systems, and all non-flammable medical and nonmedical oxygen piping systems and compliance with the International Plumbing Code and the standards of the local jurisdiction.


Roles and Responsibilities

The Roles and Responsibilities as a Commercial Plumbing Inspector will include and not limited to the verification of the following

  • Proper pipe sizing, installation, design, and testing for the DWV system
  • Potable and nonpotable water supply and storage systems; the installation of all fixtures, appurtenances, and appliances
  • Installation of all regulated safety devices, water heater installation, and appurtenances
  • Installation, design, and protection of all specialty fixture that serve special functions and the connections to the DWV and water supply systems
  • Design, pipe sizing, and testing for the storm drainage system; the design, installation of all special piping and storage systems for non-flammable medical gases and non-medical oxygen systems
  • All permitting, documentation and approved drawings have been filed and completed.
