Certified SAFe® Scrum Master 5.0 (SSM)

The Certified SAFe® Scrum Master 5.0 (SSM) exam requires experience working in a Lean-Agile environment.

A Certified SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) is a SAFe Scrum Master professional responsible for integrating Scrum practices into an organization. Some of the Key areas of competency

• Supporting program execution
• Coaching Agile teams

• Introducing Scrum in SAFe
• Characterizing the role of the Scrum Master
• Experiencing Program Increment planning
• Facilitating Iteration execution
• Finishing the Program Increment
• Coaching the Agile team

The key areas of competency in the Certified SAFe® Scrum Master 5.0 (SSM) exam are - 

• Using Scrum and Kanban to facilitate team events
• Supporting program execution
• Coaching Agile teams

The first step toward becoming a Certified SAFe® Scrum Master is to attend the SAFe® Scrum Master course. This is a requirement because attending the course provides access to all the study materials and the exam. Note that attending the course does not guarantee to pass the exam.

The Passing score – SSM 4 = 33 out of 45 (73%); SSM 5.0 =33 out of 45 (73%)

Exam score for SSM 5.0 has been updated effective Feb 28 8pm MST.

SSM 5.0 passing score prior to February 28 was 34 out of 45 (75%).

Once the exam begins, candidates have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete the exam

The total number of questions in the Certified SAFe® Scrum Master 5.0 (SSM) exam are  45.
