Exam Structure

The exam covers the following topics - 

Domain 1 - Understanding the concept of MaxCompute (37%) 

• Familiarity with basic big data computing service concepts such as projects, tables, partitions, resources, tasks, etc.
• Understanding of the structure and functions of each component in big data computing services.
• Mastery of the characteristics, advantages, and application scenarios of Alibaba Cloud big data computing services.
• Knowledge of how to connect and utilize computing services, including using the client odpscmd, management console, Java SDK, etc.
• Proficiency in data upload and download for big data computing services, including the use of tunnel command-line tools and understanding of the Tunnel SDK.
• Ability to use SQL commands for large data computing, including DDL, DML, and common built-in functions.
• Familiarity with user-defined functions, such as UDF, UDAF, and UDTF, and the ability to write simple custom functions.
• Understanding of the MapReduce programming framework, including setting up the IntelliJ IDEA integrated development environment and writing simple MapReduce programs.
• Understanding of the Graph programming framework, including basic concepts and processing procedures, and the ability to write simple Graph programs.
• Knowledge of the security and permission management concepts and practical operations in MaxCompute, including users, roles, authorization (ACL & Policy), project space protection, and external security levels.

Domain 2 - Understanding the concept of  DataWorks (29%)

• Familiarity with the basic functions of DataWorks, including data integration, data development, data management, operation and maintenance center, organization management, and project management.
• Understanding of the basic features of DataWorks, including role isolation and environment isolation.
• Knowledge of how to leverage project management and organizational management modules to build a data analysis environment.
• Proficiency in designing and developing within the DataWorks data development module, including constructing tables, task development, resource upload, data upload, and new functions.
• Ability to use DataWorks' data development module for workflow task and node task development and design, and configure appropriate dependencies and periodic scheduling.
• Capability to use the data management module for data management, including lineage analysis, application, and authorization for table use.
• Ability to identify, locate, and fix basic problems in the process.

Domain 3 - Understanding the concept of E-MapReduce

• Knowledge of basic distributed system theory, including concepts of distributed file systems and distributed computing frameworks.
• Understanding of how common components in the Hadoop ecosystem work, such as HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, and Zookeeper.
• Familiarity with the basic concepts of each E-MapReduce component, including YARN, Spark, Zookeeper, Kafka, etc.
• Understanding of Auto Scaling features, product advantages, and common application scenarios.

Domain 4 - Understanding the concept of Alibaba Big Data Ecosystem Tools

• Knowledge of the Alibaba Cloud Machine Learning Platform for AI (PAI).
• Understanding of Alibaba Cloud's streaming data processing solutions and products, such as Realtime Compute and Apache Flink.
• Familiarity with the basic concepts of Quick BI and its workflow for gaining better data insights.
• Understanding of the features and application scenarios of related products, including Alibaba Cloud RDS, distributed relational database DRDS, Table Store, Analytic Database, Data Transmission Service (DTS), Realtime Compute, and DataV.

Understanding of how DataWorks data integration synchronizes data with other related products.
