The Certified Quality Engineer is a professional who is familiar with the principles of product and service quality assessment and control. 1. Who is Certified Quality Engineer?

The Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a specialist who knows how to evaluate and control product and service quality. Development and operation of quality control systems, application of knowledge and capacity to create and run management information systems, and auditing quality systems for deficiency identification and correction are all part of this body of knowledge and applied technologies.

2. How many questions will be there on the computer based exam?

There will be 165 questions.

3. What is the exam duration?

You will get 5 hours 18 minutes to complete the exam.

4. What are the Certified Quality Engineer prerequisites?

You must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the Certified Quality Engineer’s areas of responsibility. This experience must include at least three years in a decision-making capacity. Work experience must have been obtained in a full-time, paid position. Paid internships, co-ops, and other coursework do not count toward the required job experience.

5. What is the passing score on a certification exam?

All ASQ certification tests employ the cut-score method. To get certified, candidates must achieve a score of 550 out of a potential 750.

6. What is the cost of the exam?

For member its $398 and for non-members it will cost you $498.

7. In which language we can give the exam?

You can give the exam in the English language.

9. Is Recertification Required for Certified Quality Engineer exam?

Yes, you need to recertify yourself every 3 years

10. Can I reschedule / Cancel exam?
  • If you need to modify your exam appointment date or time, you must do so at least five days before your scheduled appointment via Prometric’s website’s Reschedule/Cancel option or by calling Prometric’s automated voice response system.
  • A fee of $70 is charged for changing an appointment. If you do not show up for your exam appointment, you will forfeit your exam fee.
