The Enable basic theme feature is set to Off, in the Power Apps portals by default. So, when we turn ON this feature, we can use default themes called Presets. We can also create copies of the preset themes for additional customization.

Steps to Enable basic themes for existing portals

  1. First, sign in to Power Apps.
  2. Secondly, select Apps from the left navigation pane, and then select the portal.
  3. Then, select More Commands (), and then select Edit.
  4. Lastly, select Themes from the left navigation pane, and then turn on the Enable basic theme toggle.

Steps to change theme for your portal

You can set any existing theme in your portal to a default theme.

  1. Firstly, sign in to Power Apps.
  2. Secondly, select Apps from the left navigation pane, and then select the portal.
  3. Thirdly, select More Commands (), and then select Edit.
  4. Next, select Theme from the components pane.
  5. Then, select any default theme from the available presets (in our example, we selected Green).

Steps to Create a new theme

  1. Firstly, sign in to Power Apps.
  2. Then, select Apps from the left navigation pane, and then select the portal.
  3. Also, select More Commands (), and then select Edit.
  4. Further, select Theme from the components pane.
  5. Select New Theme.

Steps to edit theme details

We can can update theme name, description, color, and other typography settings in Power Apps Studio using the following steps –

  1. Firstly, sign in to Power Apps.
  2. Secondly, select Apps from the left navigation pane, and then select the portal.
  3. Then, select More Commands (), and then select Edit.
  4. Also, select Theme from the components pane.
  5. Next, select the theme currently applied, or select a new theme from the presets.
  6. Lastly, by selecting a theme opens the details pane on the right side of your workspace.
