What is AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) about?
The AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) certification demonstrates the candidate’s proficiency with AccessData’s Forensic Toolkit, FTK Imager, Registry Viewer, and Password Recovery Toolkit. How will I receive my Certificate?
The certificate should be emailed upon successful completion and passing of the exam. Certificates may also be managed from the users account page within the AccessData Training page.
Are there any prerequisites for the AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) exam?
As there are no prerequisite for this certification but, it is recommended that the user should have some experience with the tools, or have taken the following courses:
Before August 2020:
- FTK Bootcamp
- FTK Intermediate
After August 2020:
- FTK Imager 100
- Registry Viewer 100
- Password Recovery Toolkit 100
- Forensic Toolkit 101
How many questions will be there on ACE exam?
In this exam there will be 88 questions.
What is the cost for taking the exam?
The exam will cost you $100 USD.
How many attempts do we have for the ACE exam?
You have maximum 2 attempts for the exam.
What is the passing score for the ACE exam?
To pass the exam you have to score 80%. You can get free practice paper in order to get an idea about the questions.
For how long is the exam is valid?
This exam is valid for 2 years.
ACE exam will validate user on what basis?
The certification will test the user’s knowledge of forensic theory, tool features, and include hands on portion testing the user ability to use the above mentioned tools to find and report on evidence found in a case.
What is the recertification policy?
As the certificate nears expiration a reminder email will be sent. The user will be able to login to AccessData’s training site and take the certification test again to renew.
