Q. Can I travel to a different state/jurisdiction to take my test?
A. It is your responsibility to ensure there are no travel restrictions in place for the location where you want to take your test. If you travel to test in another state or country with travel restrictions in place, you may be turned away.
Q. Am I required to wear a face mask?
A. Yes, you must bring and wear your own face mask while you are at the test centre and throughout your exam. A surgical or cloth face mask, including a homemade face mask, is acceptable if your nose and mouth are fully covered. Face masks with exhalation valves and face shields are not acceptable. We are unable to provide face masks to candidates. Candidates without a face mask will be denied testing services. You will be asked to briefly remove the mask during the check-in process to take the required candidate photo.
Q. What is the Exam format?
A. The exam consists of 60 questions comprising of multiple choice and fill in the blank questions.
Q. What is the duration of the Exam?
A. Duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
Q. IS LPIC-2 certification necessary ?
A. Yes, LPIC-2 certification is necessary to make you eligible for the LPIC-3 Mixed Environment certification.
Q. Can a LPIC-1 certification make us eligible to take the LPIC-3 mixed environment exam ?
A. No, The LPIC-1 certification will not make you eligible for the LPIC-3 Mixed Environment Exam.
Q. Can LPIC-3 Mixed environment exam be taken in the online mode.
A. No, Currently the LPIC-3 Mixed Environment exam is not available in the online mode.
Q. Will I get a refund if my exam is cancelled?
A. If your exam payment was processed through Pearson VUE, you will receive a full refund, regardless of cancellation window.
Candidates whose exam payment was processed through their exam sponsor will either receive a refund or an extension as determined by exam sponsor.
Q. Is it necessary to give all the three LPIC-3 exams to obtain the certification ?
A. No, it is not necessary to give all three LPIC-3 exams to obtain the certification. You will be awarded the certification with respect to the category you will choose.
Q. Is LPIC-3 mixed environment exam tougher than LPIC-1 and LPIC-2?
A. This totally varies from individual to individual. If you have prepared well and have gone through all the concepts thoroughly, you will be able to clear the exam.

A candidate scoring 500 out of 800 will be marked as passed for the LPIC-3 Exam: 300-100.
