Here you’ll learn an Azure Bastion host using the Azure portal. After provisioning the Azure Bastion service in the Vnet. Azure Bastion deployment is as per Vnet, and not according to subscription/account or VM.

In order to create a new bastion host resource by specifying all of the settings manually and using the settings that correspond to an existing Virtual Machine. So, here we’ll understand how to create Azure Bastion in a step by step order.

Creating a host

This process will help you create a resource from the Azure portal.

  1. Firstly, on the Home page, click Create a resource.
  2. After this, type Bastion, then click Enter.
  3. After this, click Bastion. Also, make sure the Microsoft is the publisher and the category is Networking.
  4. On the Bastion page, then click Create to open the Create a bastion page.
  5. Next, configure a new Bastion resource.
  6. Furthermore, after finishing, click Review + Create. This confirms the values.
  7. Moving on to the Create a bastion page, click Create.
  8. You will see a message letting you know that your deployment is underway. The status will display on this page as the resources are created. It takes about 5 minutes for the Bastion resource to be created and deployed.
