What is CompTIA Server+?

The CompTIA Server+ is the fundamental credential for those entering the IT industry. CompTIA Server+ certified candidates can operate in any environment because it is the only vendor-neutral certification incorporating the major server programs. 

What is the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam?

CompTIA Server+ certification validates the skills necessary to be a server administrator. The successful candidate will be able to identify environmental issues, understand and comply with disaster recovery and general security procedures, be familiar with industry terminology and concepts, and understand server roles and their interaction in a dynamic computing environment. 

What are the learning objectives for the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam?

How many questions are there in the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam?

There are a maximum of 100 questions in the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam.

How many hours will be given to the candidate to complete the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam?

The candidate will be given 90 minutes to complete the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam.

In how many languages the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam is available?

The CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam is available in the three languages i.e. English, simplified Chinese, and Japanese. 

What are the passing marks for the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam?

The passing marks for the CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) exam are 750 (on a scale of 100-900). 

How does the exam score review?

CompTIA controls the performance of all exams on a regular basis to guarantee the efficacy of exam results.  During exam monitoring, CompTIA classifies scores as unclear when there are mistakes for which there is no logical explanation. Scores listed as unclear will not be deemed valid and will not be available for certification.  If it is determined that a violation of the Candidate Conduct Policy has contributed to the classification of indeterminate, CompTIA will also take additional action as laid out in the Candidate Agreement.

What is the process of setting passing scores?

CompTIA exam passing scores are set using the statistical report and are subject to change. After the exam completion, candidates obtain a score report that contains relevant information regarding the outcome of the exam. However, CompTIA does not publish exam passing rates because exam questions and passing rates are subject to change without notice.

What is the cost of the CompTIA exam?

The exam will cost is $329 USD including the additional taxes.

What are the testing options provided by CompTIA?

CompTIA provides two testing options:

What is the exam rescheduling policy?

Candidates who want to reschedule the exam must contact Pearson VUE at least a minimum of 24 hours prior to your exam appointment. Rescheduling an exam less than 24 hours prior to your appointment or failure to appear for your appointment will result in the forfeiture of your exam fee. 

Does CompTIA allow for the examination retest?

CompTIA holds the right to ask any candidate to retest if there is any suspicion of fraudulent or aberrant test scores. 

How to cancel the CompTIA exam?

For cancelling the exam, the candidates must visit Pearson VUE at least a minimum of 24 hours prior to your exam appointment. Cancelling or failing to appear for an exam will result in the forfeiture of your exam fee. 

What is the exam retake policy?

For those who fail in their first attempt to pass any CompTIA certification examination, CompTIA does not require any waiting period between the first and second attempt to pass such examination. However, before your third attempt or any subsequent attempt to pass such examination, you shall be required to wait for a period of at least fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of your last attempt to pass such examination.
