2. Renaming Release Announcement: Huawei Certification HCIA-Collaboration V3.0 (English Version)

On August 31, 2022, Huawei Certification HCIA-Video Conference V3.0 (English version) is scheduled to change its name to HCIA-Collaboration V3.0 (English version) and be made available globally.

As of August 31, 2022, test takers who pass the relevant certification exam will be awarded the HCIA-Collaboration certificate. The validity term for the prior HCIA-Video Conference certificates stays the same, however, they will progressively transition to the HCIA-Collaboration certificates starting in September.

3. Updates to the Huawei Career Certification Architecture and Recertification Policy Notification

Huawei has changed its career certification system and recertification policy, which will go into effect on January 1, 2023, to be in line with Huawei’s long-term plans and the most recent ICT developments.

The three levels of ICT Infrastructure, Basic Software & Hardware, and Cloud Platform & Services, as well as six domains, comprise the updated Huawei Career Certification Architecture. There will be 22 fewer technology tracks than the previous 23. These specific upgrades are available:

The old Cloud technology track will be split into the Cloud Computing and Cloud Service technology tracks.

The Kunpeng technology track will be created by combining the existing Kunpeng Application Developer and Intelligent Computing technology tracks.

Rename Enterprise Communication to Collaboration in the technology track.

There will be a brand-new technological track for digital power. The SDN and Data Center technology tracks will be discontinued; the Data Center Facility certifications will be moved from the Data Center technology track to the Digital Power track.

Recertification Method

You have two options for extending the validity of your certificate before it expires:

  • Take any exam required for the current qualification and pass it.
  • Take and pass any test for certification at the same level or higher in the same field of technology as the one you now have.

Validity Period Extension Rule

  • The validity term will be extended by three years from the day you pass the test if you are successfully recertified before your certificate expires.

4. Huawei Retiring Exams

There are several Huawei exams that will get expire. So, Huawei provides the date and year for the exam that will soon retire or already have. This include:

  • HCIE-Cloud Service Solutions Architect V1.0 certification exam will be officially offline on Dec 30, 2022.
  • The HCIA-Cloud Computing V4.0 certification exam will be unavailable after March 14, 2023.
  • HCIE-Routing & Switching: The written exam have been taken offline on June 30, 2022, and the experimental exam will be taken offline on December 31, 2022.
  • HCIA-Security V3.0 certification exam will be officially offline on December 31, 2022.
  • HCIP-5G-RNP&RNO V1.0 certification exam will be officially offline on September 10, 2022.
