ECS Home Technology Integrator card that allows custom installers of home technology, like whole-house AV systems, to access construction sites where a CSCS card is necessary. The ECS card recognizes the specific training that Home Technology Integrators have taken with CEDIA approved qualifications. CEDIA members have their membership recognized on the cards.

Eligibility Criterion for ECS CEDIA Home Technology Integrator Card

  • Must have successfully completed the CEDIA ESC-T.
  • Must have a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment (no exemptions permit for this card).

For ECA Qualified Supervisor (QS) Card – Gold

ECA partnered with JIB to offer Qualified Supervisors (QS) employed by ECA member businesses, that give s the opportunity to apply for an ECS Gold Card. The route uses a QS’s long term experience and technical assessment history to demonstrate their eligibility to apply.

ECA offers Qualified Supervisors the opportunity to apply for an ECS gold card to get recognised as an Approved Electrician (Installation Electrician) under the rules of the ECS. Such that the qualification requirements for the QS card are the same as for a standard ECS Gold Card. The ECA verify the applicant’s QS status.

Additionally, Qualified Supervisors with an ECA member business who do not satisfy the set qualification routes can apply if they have represented the business in three consecutive assessments with the ECA and had a successful outcome on each. The card is only valid while the company remains an ECA member business and the cardholder remains the company QS.

For Gate Safe – White

The ECS Gate Safe Card is for Gate Safe installers who complete the Gate Installers Safety training program’s safety training requirements. The ECS Gate Safe Card certifies that the bearer has completed the basic training requirements for understanding the dangers associated with powered gate installations, as well as the procedure for conducting an acceptable risk assessment to assist decrease the risk.

Eligibility Criterion for ECS Gate Safe Card

  • Must have successfully completed the Gate Safe Aware Training programme within 24 months of applying for this card.
  • Must have a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment (no exemptions permit for this card).

For ECS HERS Card – HEA

ECS HERS (Highway Electrical Registration Scheme) card is managed Highway Electrical Association (HEA). The HEA scheme has been launched to meet the requirements to address the specialist H&S requirements needed for those working on Highway electrical systems.

For ISCE Sound Engineer – White

ECS ISCE Sound Engineer card identifies the membership requirements for the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (ISCE). ECS ISCE Sound engineers must be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge and experience through their ISCE membership to be eligible for this card. ISCE members have their membership recognised on the reverse of their card.

Eligibility Criterion for ECS ISCE Sound Engineer card

  • Must be a member of the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (ISCE).
  • Must have a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment (no exemptions permit for this card).

For ECS MPBA Card

ECS MPBA card is specifically for staff of Modular and Portable Buildings Association (MPBA) members who have successfully completed the MPBA PDI training program – the bespoke industry training and assessment programme for temporary buildings.

ECS MPBA card displays the cardholder basic knowledge of electrical safety for the pre-delivery inspection of modular and portable buildings and also the ability to identify potential electrical safety issues that need to be investigated further.

Eligibility Criterion for ECS MPBA card

  • Must have successfully completed the MPBA PDI training course.
  • Must have a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment (no exemptions permit for this card).
  • Note: Applications for this card must be through the MPBA.

For NICEIC & ELECSA QS Card – Gold

ECS NICEIC and ELECSA card are specifically for Qualified Supervisors who wish to apply for an ECS gold card and be recognised as an Approved Electrician (Installation Electrician) under the rules of the ECS. Refer the qualification requirements for the QS card on the scheme providers website. ECS NICEIC and ELECSA card is only valid while the company remains registered with the NICEIC or ELECSA and the cardholder remains the company QS.

Eligibility and requirements for ECS NICEIC and ELECSA card

  • Applicants must hold an up-to-date Health & Safety Assessment
  • Approved BS7671 qualification (in its latest amendment)
  • Must be a QS for a company registered with NICEIC or ELECSA and having met the entry requirements detailed on the scheme providers website.

For SLEAT – White

ECS Society of Laundry Engineers & Allied Trades (SLEAT) Card is for bespoke industry electrical safety training and assessment program, typically for staff involved in the commissioning and maintenance of industrial laundry systems. ECS issues this Related Discipline card for all operatives that have successfully completed this training programme.

Eligibility Criterion for ECS SLEAT Card

  • Must have successfully completed the SLEAT Electrical Safety Training programme.
  • Must have a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment (no exemptions permit for this card.
  • Note: Applications for this card must be through the SLEAT.
