While deciding to take any examination such as CSSLP, you might have some questions in your mind. Below are few of them to help you out and solve your problem.

How can I become a member?

There are three steps followed to become a member of (ISC)2. First, you must take and pass one of the six credential examinations. Then, you must submit an endorsement application to prove that you have the years of experience that are required to hold the credential. Once your endorsement is approved, you must pay the Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF).

What are the prerequisites for CSSLP Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional Exam?

Pr-requisites for CSSLP Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional Certification Exam include – Candidate is required to hold a minimum of 4 years of cumulative paid full-time Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) professional work experience in 1 or more of the 8 domains of the (ISC) 2® CSSLP CBK or 3 years of cumulative paid full-time SDLC professional work experience in 1 or more of the 8 domains of the CSSLP CBK with a 4-year degree leading to a Bachelor, or regional equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or related fields.

When will I receieve my score ?

It takes a time of six to eight weeks to receive the result. Your TA will give you an unofficial exam result when you check out at the test center. (ISC)² will email you the official result.

Can I retake the examination ?

Yes, you can retake the examination upto 3 times within a 12 month period.

• If you are unable to clear the exam the first time, you can retest after 30 days.
• For appearing the second time, you can retest after an additional 90 days.
• If you don’t pass a third time, you can retest after 180 days from your most recent exam attempt.

What is the duration of the CSSLP examination ?

The duration of exam is 4 hours.

What is the cost of the examination ?

CSSLP exam costs $549.

In what languages the CSSLP exam is available ?

The examination is available in only English language.

How to register for CSSLP Examination ?

• After assessing the prerequisite for the examination, go to the official page of (ISC)² and click on register now.
• Post that create an account on Pearson VUE and follow the instructions for registration as directed.
• After choosing the date and time of the examination, the candidate can make the payment and complete the registration process.

How can I reschedule my examination ?

• Online at least 48 hours prior to your exam or
• By phone at least 24 hours before your exam

However,Pearson VUE charges a reschedule fee of USD$50 and a cancellation fee of USD$100.

Is the CSSLP exam computer based or pen and paper based ?

The CSSLP examination is a computer-based exam.
