What is the exam about?

The Certified Facility Manager (CFM) is the pinnacle achievement in facility management certification. The CFM® Exam is competency-based, testing what a candidate can do compared to standards that define the practice of facility management.

How do register myself to take the exam?
  1. Firstly, complete your CFM Application in the CAMP platform
  2. Then, complete the CFM Application Payment Form
  3. In the end, sit for the exam within three months (90 days) of approval
What if I do not qualify in the first attempt?

Unsuccessful CFM® exam candidates have up to 12 months to retake the exam at a reduced fee. There is no limit to the number of times a candidate can sit for the exam. To retake the exam, candidates will complete CFM Exam Retake Application, found in the IFMA Credential Application and Maintenance Program (CAMP). The CFM Exam Retake Application and Payment Forms must be submitted and approved before the candidate may schedule the exam retake appointment.

Nonmembers: $365 USD

How can I renew my certification?

The CFM is valid for three (3) years. To maintain your credential, you can take courses and online training that awards CEUs.

The CFM exam is computer-based.

The exam duration is 240 minutes, i.e., 4 hours.

  • NonMember – $815USD
What are the languages in which the exam will be conducted?

The exam will be only in English language.
